Environmental Site Assessment

An environmental site assessment is a report prepared for a real estate holding that identifies potential or existing environmental contamination liabilities. The analysis, often called an ESA, typically addresses both the underlying land as well as physical improvements to the property.

Contamination Assessment

The assessment of site contamination is a process incorporating a set of formal methods used for determining the nature, extent and amount of existing chemical substances either on or off-site.

Classification of Wastes

To comply with the waste legislation, those who generate waste during building and construction works, are responsible for classifying their waste in to A, B, C, D or clean fill material and require classification of waste report.

Acid Sulfate Soil Assessment

Acid sulphate soils and rocks affect land use and development. The classification and management needs to be considered during the planning stage – before land is cleared, drained or construction works begin. Geoaquitards Environmental provides recommendations and management plans to protect human health and environment from risks that may be posed by acid sulfate soils, by ensuring that they are managed in an environmentally responsible manner.

Salinity Assessment

Soil salinity and dryland salinity are two problems degrading the environment and salinity assessments provide information on the current status and future predictions of areas affected by salinity. Geoaquitards Environmental provides management measures that are required to deal with these environmental impacts.

Groundwater Assessment

Construction of buildings and structures involving significant excavation for structures below native surface levels (i.e. basements, underground car parks, dwellings, tanks, swimming pools and retaining walls) must be managed in accordance with relevant standards to meet the requirements of the local Councils.

Hydrogeological Assessment

A hydrogeological assessment of the groundwater conditions on the site and the potential impacts on the proposed development including any measures required to mitigate the impacts of groundwater, conditions on the development and the impact of the development on ground water are required as a part of planning permit application process. Geoaquitards Environmental provides management measures that are required to deal with these environmental impacts.

Water Qulity Assessment

Water quality assessment provides the base line information on water safety. Since water quality in any source of water and at the point of use, can change with time and other factors, continuous monitoring of water is essential.

Coastal Acid Sulfate Soil Management Plan (CASSMP)

Sites that are included as prospective land that has the potential to contain Coastal Acid Sulfate Soil requires prior to commencement of any excavation works, the land must be tested for Acid Sulfate Soils. If acid sulfate soil found present, a management plan must be drawn up showing mitigation and disposal methods in accordance with Victorian Best Practice Guidelines for Assessing and Managing Coastal Acid Sulfate Soils and carried out to the satisfaction of the Responsible Authority. Geoaquitards Environmental provides best practice management measures to minimise potential environmental impacts in order to achieve objectives for the proposed land uses.

Environmental Management Plan (EMP)

The EMP identifies the existing and potential future environmental issues of the subject land and details actions and procedures to be carried out during all stages of design, construction and operation of the project. The EMP forms part of the documentation associated with the planning permits for the proposed development. Geoaquitards Environmental provides management plans to meet the town planning requirements.

Soil Management Plan (SMP)

The SMP requires identification of the existing contamination and provide recommendation to manage contamination identified in soil at the site in such a way that it does not present an unacceptable risk to the site, or the environment or for the proposed use of the land. Geoaquitards Environmental provides management measures to minimise potential environmental impacts to acceptable levels. In order to achieve objectives for the proposed land uses.
